About
It's important to work with people your can connect with, good communication and understanding makes the most challenging projects successful and fun. To get started, here's a little bit about me.
About me
I am a multi-award winning garden designer based in Hampshire, UK.
I have always gardened in one form or another, and I've always designed and made, coming from a family of garden enthusiasts and craftsmen.

After a career in marketing and proposition development,
I re-trained in professional garden design and in horticulture at Sparsholt horticultural College.
I am a pre-registered member of the Society of Garden Designers and qualified member of the Gardeners Guild.

The 20-year detour has given me a range of skills and experiences that make me a better designer, from project and resource management, to user-led design, research and communications.
When I'm not designing gardens, I enjoy the sea and the hills.
Gardens that make a difference
I enjoy the unique nature of each project, the combination of peoples needs and the characteristics of the site.
Your outdoor space is as important as your indoor space; I aspire to make gardens usable, as well as beautiful. My own gardens have followed this pattern, evolving over time as our needs have changed. My goal is to create spaces people want to spend every moment they can in.

Originally trained in geography, I have a keen eye on ecological issues and wellbeing; I'm personally interested in how we can manage our outdoor spaces so they can adapt and react well to natural and human change, as well as ensuring design make a positive contribution to managing sustainability issues locally.
